Ah, the apple; Mother Nature’s spherical miracle. It’s a doctor-repellant, an overture-inspiring archer’s prop, a computer-company logo, a sure-fire kiss-up gift for the teacher on your Christmas list, and gravity-proving fruit extraordinaire. With the blistering heat of the Southern summer giving way to the, um, less-blistering heat of the Southern fall, the apple tends to figure more prominently in various dishes, so we here at Metromix thought it would be a cool idea to check out how some of our local eateries incorporate apples into their menus.
