Pita House
495 S Pleasantburg Dr. - GreenvilleDuh. Pita House might be the hummus (or hommos) authority in Greenville. Their namesake is, after all, the food item most paired with the dip. The small Middle Eastern restaurant serves a creamy, slightly oily version of hummus. They also serve with with warm, fluffy pita.
Blue Ridge Brewing Company
217 N. Main St. - GreenvilleBlue Ridge is for more than just beer. The brewery serves a thick, chunky hummus.
Stellar Restaurant and Wine Bar
20 N. Main St. - GreenvilleThis downtown wine bar serves a hummus trio, including a black bean, roasted red pepper (very creamy and spicy) and garbanzo bean variety.
Brixx Wood Fired Pizza
1125 Woodruff Rd - GreenvilleBrixx on Woodruff Road offers a black bean, roasted red pepper and garbanzo bean hummus trio as well. The dips here are a little bit thicker than the ones served at Stellar, and the pita pieces are thinner and briefly wood-fired.
The Greek Grille
3235 N Pleasantburg Dr - GreenvilleA place called The Greek Grille has to serve hummus. Their version is lemony and served with pickles. The pita is on the thin side.
Coffee Underground
1 E. Coffee St. - GreenvilleThe hummus here looks a little different than the traditional dip, but it is very tasty. It's slightly chunky with a big spicy kick. Served with foccacia bread.
Barley's Taproom & Pizzeria
25 W. Washington St. - GreenvilleBarley's offers a thick and spicy black bean hummus.
The Cazbah
16 W. McBee Ave. - GreenvilleYou can't be a very good tapas bar unless you serve hummus. Just doesn't seem complete. Luckily, The Cazbah, does serve a black and white hummus dish, made, of course, with black beans and garbanzo beans, and served with pita and olive relish.
Two Chefs Delicatessen and Market
104 S. Main St. - GreenvilleTwo Chefs serves a very creamy, thin version of hummus. It's more for the spreadin', less for the dippin'.
These are just some of our favorite places for hummus. What's yours? Let us know, and we'll add it to the list.
