The bottom line
Café Paulista is one of those places that makes Greenville such a great place for culinary taste. It was a real treat to broaden my horizons and try some authentic Brazilian food within a short drive of my home. The staff and management are very personable, and have developed a good-sized following of regular customers. The prices are reasonable—dinners are a bit more expensive, but include just about everything but the kitchen sink: a drink, homemade cheese bread, rice, flavored black beans, potato salad and fried bananas.
Our tab for lunch—two entrees, an appetizer and a coffee—came to $25 before tip, and the food was certainly first-rate. If you’re in the mood to try something different, check this place out. Who knows? You might become a regular.
