I don't know why they even bother giving out these stupid music, movie, etc awards. It's all subjective. One person's favorite is another's junk....

Sir Mix-a-Lot
1992 was kind of a weak year for solo hip-hop acts, as evidenced by the fact that among that year’s nominees were MC Hammer for “Addams Groove” (yes, the theme song from the 1991 “Addams Family” movie) and Marky Mark (yes, Mark Wahlberg) and his Funky Bunch for “You Gotta Believe.” Beating them out was a certain ode to the female posterior performed by a Seattle rapper named Anthony Ray, aka Sir Mix-a-Lot. Yes, “Baby Got Back” won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance. You’re welcome, world!
