The 50 finest females in all of music
Last year, Metromix put together a list of the 34 hottest women in rock. (Why 34? We were feeling random that day.) Needless to say, the list sparked debate, discussion and controversy—and if there's anything we love around here, it's debate, discussion and controversy. So this year, we decided to up the ante a little and expand our list to 50, but also include the hottest women from all musical walks of life—country, hip-hop, pop, you name it. As with our list of 34, we used some highly subjective criteria for overall "hotness" and included women of all shapes, sizes, ages and attitudes—we're not trying to be Maxim magazine here. Hotness comes in many forms.
So who made the list? Who got left out? Who was hot enough to make both this and our "34 hottest women in rock" list? (Hint: There are eight of them. See if you can spot them all.) Let the hotness countdown begin!—Andy Hermann, Metromix
