Competition is bigger than ever in the Lone Star State for the ninth season of the "Top Chef" series, "Top Chef: Texas." After a season first of chopping down 29 hopeful cheftestants, judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Emeril Lagasse and Hugh Acheson trimmed down the fat to the top 16.
