Movies: Leto was a ‘90s heartthrob on TV’s “My So-Called Life,” but his movie career has been inconsistent. He was great in “Requiem for a Dream” [pictured] and “American Psycho,” and even in the underrated (if slightly misguided) “Lord of War.” As for those cornrows he sported in “Panic Room”…yikes.
Music: Ever since the days of Jordan Catalano playing with Frozen Embryos on “My So-Called Life” Leto’s status as a musician in an actor’s body was obvious. His highly successful outfit 30 Seconds to Mars may not be for everyone, but Leto and company have made serious waves in treacherous music industry waters.
Verdict: It would be nice to see him on the big screen again, but Leto is rocking the known universe with Mars.
