They'll kick your ass...and you won't complain

We’re not exactly the first to notice that there aren’t many strong roles in Hollywood for women, especially in action movies. Often sidelined as wives and mothers, relegated to supporting roles, it’s more the exception than the rule that we see a movie about confident, dynamic or fierce female.
All of which makes Zoe Saldana's first starring role since her performance capture breakthrough in "Avatar" that much more unique. As a stone-cold assassin in the Luc Besson-produced "Colombiana," Saldana is dangerous and alluring in equal measure, overpowering her male co-stars including Michael Vartan, Cliff Curtis, Jordi Mollà and Lennie James. It’s a fiery, inspiring spectacle to behold; and good reason to pay tribute to cinema’s sexiest action heroines.
