Even fans of “Resident Evil” admit that it’s something of a guilty pleasure. Mindless, violent and more than a little trashy, it’s a shoot-‘em-up that skewers the standard sci-fi thriller. And at the center of it all is the gorgeous Jovovich, spending the majority of her screen time in a dwindling supply of clothing and a soaking wet condition.
Her character, Alice, is an amnesia victim who encounters a team of commandos down in The Hive—an underground research facility that’s housing hordes of ravenous zombies. The blood splatters, the characters shriek, the chaos spirals, and yet Alice survives. Thus a new female warrior is born: Fierce, wet and half-naked.
