"The Running Man"
Sort of like Death Race minus the cars, “The Running Man” imagines a televised event in which a convicted felon is given the chance to run past prison walls and into a free existence, but only if they avoid professional killers employed by the show. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a falsely convicted contestant who gives his armed opponents a run for their money.
Real-world potential: It’s easy to imagine adrenaline junkies and anyone willing to cheer the death penalty crowding around their TV sets to watch the “Running Man” game show, but it’s a lot harder to believe the contestants’ bright yellow spandex one-pieces could ever be fashionable.
