Iron Man and Captain America and Thor and the Hulk all in one movie? That's the comic-lovers' dream Marvel Studios finally realizes with this super-sized superhero saga. The Avengers assemble when Thor's bad news brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) threatens Earth with a super army of his own. Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner round out the good guys as Black Widow and Hawkeye, under the supervision of Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. How all these characters can fit into one movie without turning into a "Batman and Robin"-sized mess is the major challenge we hope "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" mastermind Whedon pulls off.
