Classic fright flicks that would be even scarier in 3D

It’s not every day that you can buy a ticket to a R-rated 3D horror film, but that might change soon. In “My Bloody Valentine 3D,” opening Jan. 16, a small mining town endures a Valentine’s Day massacre that leaves 22 people dead, only to face the same thing a decade later.
Just in case this kicks off a trend of 3D remakes in Hollywood, here are a few classic horror movies (like "Psycho," pictured) we’d love to see with an extra dimension. —S. James Snyder, Special to Metromix
