For the longest time, I thought Top Gear wasn't for me - I mean, I haven't driven in about five years, so a TV series about cars just doesn't whet my appetite.
After tuning in, however, I realized one doesn't have to be a gearhead to appreciate the popular British show. Not surprisingly, my favorite segment is "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car," in which a celebrity gets behind the wheel and zooms around a track. (Matt LeBlanc was particularly good at this, as was Simon Cowell. Michael Gambon's appearance is legendary.)
Tonight Top Gear returns for a 19th season, and Homeland's Damian Lewis is the star who gets into the car. It's nice to see the actor being a little less intense for a change.
