Riding the party wave of Austin's 25th Anniversary South by Southwest music festival, mtvU, MTV and MTV2 will be broadcasting the 7th Annual mtvU Woodie Awards live at midnight this Wednesday—with plenty of real, beer-filled kegs hooked up to the anything-goes stage.

Actor/writer/musician Donald Glover (NBC's "Community") is about to knock on some wood as he is called upon for first time hosting duties of the always unpredictable—if lesser watched—awards show.

Performers this year include Foo Fighters, Wiz Khalifa, Sleigh Bells and Two Door Cinema Club which are sure to rock the stage in front of an audience of professional keg standers and party animals hailing from colleges near and far. Matt & Kim (voted "Woodie of the Year" in 2009), Lupe Fiasco, Dev, Chiddy Bang, Skylar Grey and MTV's Liz Lee from "My Life as Liz" will be presenting the nominated bands with the coveted Woodie Award. Vying for cheeky awards like "Breaking Woodie" and "Best Video Woodie," the nominees for "Woodie of the Year" include B.o.B, Aracade Fire, LCD Soundsystem and Wiz Kahlifa.

First time at SXSW and first time with a host, there's one thing to be sure of—it won't be the first time viewers of mtvU the 24 hour college network will be partying past the wee hours of the morning.

Here's host Donald Glover with a preview of the 2011 mtvU Woodie Awards:

"2011 mtvU Woodie Awards" airs Wednesday, March 16, at 12 a.m. ET/PT on MTV, MTV2 & mtvU.
