For Seth MacFarlane, it's going to be first onto the Oscar stage and last out.
The host of the 85th Academy Awards will participate in a closing number with Kristin Chenoweth after the final Oscar for best picture is awarded. In most years, the best-picture Oscar marks the closing of the show.
But this year it will be different, Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced Wednesday night.
"After the Best Picture award has been given, Seth and Kristin will perform a special number and we think it will be a 'can't miss' moment," the producers are quoted as saying in a release from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
The closing number is all part of the singing and dancing 2013 Oscars, which will include the cast of Les Miserables, Barbra Streisand singing in her first Oscar performance in 36 years, the cast of the musical Chicago performing, and Adele singing the theme from Skyfall.
The producers have also said Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will appear in an Oscar act.
And there will be even more unannounced appearances to come on Oscar night this Sunday (ABC, 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT).
"There are going to be some big surprises that no one will see coming," Zadan said. "Those are going to be left for when you see the show."
