Downton Abbey fans, rejoice.

The popular drama has been picked up for a fourth season, British broadcaster ITV announced today.

PBS, which broadcasts Downton in the USA, also will run Season 4 of the Emmy-winning series. The third season of the Carnival/Masterpiece co-production will premiere on PBS' Masterpiece on Jan. 6.

ITV announced the fourth season will consist of eight episodes premiering in autumn 2013 in the United Kingdom, along with an extended episode that will run on Christmas there. The third season recently concluded there.

The fourth season will continue to follow the Crawley family and their servants at their English manor in the early 1920s.

"Viewers can look forward to more drama, comedy, love, hatred, jealousy, rivalry, ambition, despair and romance," executive producer Gareth Neame said in a statement.
