As Darth Vader himself would say, "The Force is strong with this one."

The Star Wars Sith lord hits toy shelves in a bigger way than ever this fall with Jakks Pacific's release of a 31-inch Darth Vader action figure, the largest articulated toy thus far of the iconic bad guy who first appeared in the original 1977 Star Wars movie.

Making his first appearance today at the 2013 Toy Fair trade show at New York City's Javits Center, the figure is the first product to be released from a new partnership between Jakks Pacific and Lucasfilm that will bring flashlights, tents, arcade games and other Star Wars paraphernalia to devoted Jedi lovers.

And who says that size matters not? If the new Darth Vader's large scale isn't enough, he also has seven points of articulation, detailed features on the signature helmet and the rest of his armor, and his trademark red-tinged lightsaber.
