This is definitely the place to be! If you are tired of doing the same old thing weekend after weekend in Greenville then you need to head down to historic downtown Greer and check out Rhythm & Brews. Great Bands, Bartenders Drinks and Food!

Melissa commented on Open on Christmas in Greenville

Are you calling only the ones in the "open on Christmas day and eve" category? We called just about every restaurant in town and confirmed with their managers. But if you find an error, please let us know, and we'll be happy to change it. Thanks!

THE food was pretty good, but the service was the worst i have ever experienced. WE HAD TO GET UP AND GET OUR OWN TEA AND WATER AND TO GO BOXES HAD TO GO TO REGISTER TO GET OWNER TO BRING BILL TO US. THERE WERE 16 OF US AND ALL OF US HAD SAME TREATMENT.WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO MANAGERS ATTENTION SHE SAID SHE DIDNT CARE WHAT WE THOUGHT. WE COULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR ALL SHE CARED. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB.

The ambiance of this place is spot on as it gives a very upscale vibe but welcomes you like an old friend! The drink specials are great every night, and I definitely recommend trying one of their signature Bing shots (Bing a ling is one of our favorites). The food is very good and my husband recommends the wings while the pizza was perfect for me! All of this comes at great prices as well. This is a perfect place for meeting up for happy hour, taking a break after playing at in the West End or grabbing an after dinner drink(s). The place is spacious with modern accents and seating is easy. We like to sit at the bar ourselves and talk to the bartenders Elizabeth and Heather who make you feel right at home. In a nutshell, after visiting here you will always wants your drinks to be On the Roxx!

You won't mistake it for dining at the Ritz, but if you like good food, served quickly, you'll love it. I stay away from the gyros (they're new to the menu) mostly since I'm a bit old school. The box lunches are tried and true and they never disappoint. I'll go somewhere else if I want a gyro!

lhardy wrote about Grand Buffet

My mother-in-law and friend had an early dinner here last night. They arrived at 3:30 and chose the buffet. No one explained anything about the bar. My mother-in-law placed one crab leg and a mushroom on her plate. A staff member came to her yelling things she couldn't understand. She was pointing and yelling and then snatched the plate out of her hand and gave her an empty plate. She then figured out the crab leg was the problem. She was humiliated. This is the most decent woman I know and would never do anything at dishonest. I believe most restaurants would explain to the customer calmly and privately, but definitely not in such an aggressive and demoralizing manner. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

BlueSkies wrote about Thaicoon Ricefire and Sushi Bar

Visited Thaicoon on a Thursday evening amazingly it was not crowded, was a little skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. When I walked in the door thought the decor was very nice. There was no host waiting at the door to greet patrons so we were unsure whether we should seat ourselves or continue waiting to be seated. Once seated in a booth in the bar area (seems to be the only area that they were seating people) our dinner order was taken by the bartender. He was pretty friendly, gave helpful suggestions on the menu items but was not very knowledgable reagarding drink prices......each time we asked about the price of mixed drinks he had to go and check. We ended up ordering the calimari which to our pleasant surprise was delicious, the vegetable tempura which was also delicious but a bit pricey for fried vegetables ($8.99), the king 4 fried rice which too was delicious and a bit pricey (around $9.99 for peas, beef, shrimp, pork & chicken). Everything was deicious, the atmosphere was nice because there was no crowd (will have to visit on another busier night and see how atmosphere is). Overall great evening, waiter was very accomodating and wanted to make sure we were happy with our food selection and that was great. Total price = a little over $51.00 (not including the tip) for 3 mixed drinks, 3 appetizers, and one king 4 fried rice (was a good portion so we shared). Will definitely return again!!!

Compadres is the best mex in Greenville! Service is great and prices are really reasonable. The food is authentic and fresh. The staff is very accommodating with special requests. THeir margarita is the best and most authentic in town! Well worth the trip. We work downtown and go at least once a week! Try the fajita taco salad!

i wrote about dinner not 2 long ago but i had lunch the other day and it rocks. the best burgers and cuban food period in the upstate. hand cut fries and they even make there own ketchup!!! the service is always spot on and just a great spot for lunch or dinner. the people in greer and greenville are missing out if they don't go there. i was looking on urban spoon.com and no other restaurant in the upstate has a higher rating and once you go you will find out for yourself why that is so. trust me i have eaten all over the world and there is'nt that many mom and pop places left without the snobby crap most nice restaurants give you. these guys will make you feel at home.!!!

WorldTraveler wrote about Royal Thai Inc

Royal Thai is an undiscovered gem. It sits tucked away in an obscure strip mall, with a nondescript front and sign. That's a shame, because its lack of visibility prevents people from noticing it. Inside is a great cook with great recipes. The food is bursting with flavors of all sorts. A cooking snob I know loves to savor the different flavor experiences. I've had Thai food in Thailand and also lived in Los Angeles during the explosion of Thai dining in the 1990's. The food at the Royal Thai is the real thing. Incidentally, I am happy to say that when I took a group of friends there, the waiter cautioned us that we were probably ordering more food than we needed. Even though it was against his self-interest to say so, he advised us not to order so many soups. He was honest.

B-T-B could be the Cheers of informal dining! It's one of those places where everyone knows your name, or at least your face...possibly because almost everyone in the place is a "frequent eater", coming in weekly if not daily. I was impressed by the hearty soups and creative sandwiches, wraps and salads. The pimiento cheese is every bit as good as my Mama made! And. if you can't make up your mind, I recommend the Carolina Turkey Apple Sandwich with apple butter and served on wheatberry bread or Karson's Roast Beef on a pretzel roll. How do I know? I've tried almost everything on the menu.

We were so pleased to find a wonderful little sandwich shop in the Easley area!! The food was fantastic. I had a Chicken Pita with a salad and my friend had a Roast Beef Sandwich on a Big Soft Pretzel. The service was wonderful. They were really busy that day so we had to wait for a few minutes but the wait was well worth it. The servers were all friendly and helpful, the food delicious and the atmosphere was like a big friendly family. It was obvious that everyone was having a great time. We will go back often!!

The food there is extremely good, especially the cakes. They are so soft and melt in your mouth. Betty Crocker has nothing on the cake maker at this restuarant. The Orange Juicy cake is one of my favorites. If you haven't been to this family spot you are really missing a treat.
