This place is AWESOME! When I still lived in Greenville it was a weekly stop for me. I love the staff as much as the food. They really love their Brazilian culture and it shows, especially in the size of their dinners. It's great to have a place like this in Grenville.

H2H is so cool, you feel like you have to know a special knock to get in! Eat, drink and smoke on Main Street Greenville. I am in heaven!
Paisch wrote about Shaum's Cafe
Shaums has the best bartender in town. The drinks are cheap...no other place in SC where you can go spend less than $10 and have more than legal limit of alcohol...after going to Shaums you wont want to go anywhere else. Great place to go after work if you want to have a few drinks, laughs, fun & food. They have the best chicken wings ...not the best place to take a date if you are trying to impress someone...but if you just wanna hang out and chill .....go to Shaums ...I suggest Wednesday - Weekend ..that's when the GOOD bartender is in. Kevi's the best bartender in town. Gotta love Shaums. A lot of locals go to Shaums b/c they know Kevi's the best!!!! Dont get me wrong ...the place could use a few upgrades ...but it's still in business for a reason!!!

Just for the record, I am the guy that wore the Gene Simmons costume, and I have NEVER been to Blind Horse for Halloween. So I suggest you know what you are talking about BEFORE you post. Sorry you are so bitter, but take it out on someone else.

My favourite joint in town! Try the Turkey Club and if late and cold outside, have a cup of the spiked Cider! YUM!

Take it from a Thai chick, this place is good! Great big servings on their entrees and a nice selection. Always a healthy pick they're super fast with their take-out too. Khop Khun Ka Sweet Basil for bringing thai food to Haywood Road.

NomadFemme commented on Road trippin': Savannah
On a scale of 1-10 on places I'd like to visit, Savannah gets a 1... It's a smaller dirtier version of Charleston, some of the prettiest streets (with oyster shells in the sidewalk and amazing 100+yr old oaks with plenty of spanish moss hanging from them) run parallel to the shadier sides of town. With SCAD having a major presence you'd think there'd be more culture, more hippies and more fun... but this isn't the case. The river isn't very pretty, the bars pretty standard. It's not a stand-out town at all. Twenty minutes out of town and you can be on Tybee Island... which is also very small, not very pretty and really hurting for money... they tried to ticket me $500 for having my 6lb Bichon Frise on the beach (even leashed) --they're 0 tolerance apparently. Save your money and Go to Pawley's Island instead... multi-million dolalr homes and a gorgeous leashed dog friendly beach at Litchfield By The Sea.

Thanks for your thoughts, Crusty. I think a lot of people are excited about having a cigar bar downtown.

The Blind Horse Halloween Contest was a complete farce!! They made you sit around for 4 hrs while they poured slack drinks with no tab account I might add, to any interested IRS agents, CASH ONLY?, while they made you listen to mostly bad music while a bunch of hillbilly's stood around asking, "What's he?" And when you get around to getting up front for the contest they mispronounce your costume and then let some smuck in a bought Super Sperm costume go to the finals. Meanwhile the guy who wore the same Gene Simmons costume last year for this very same site makes it to the finals. Good costume but if you wore it last year hardly seems worth while. Never should've wasted my time and left when the Grim Reaper with the totally original costume and really cool shoes left. F**k the Blind Horse and all it's Redneckian Patrons.....Big Mistake!!
