Restaurants do it up for Administrative Assistants' Day

They used to call them secretaries, now they call them administrative assistants. Whether you're politically correct or you kick it old school, tomorrow is your day, and there are a couple of events making it easy for your bosses to show how much they appreciate you.

High Cotton won't serve its regular lunch menu tomorrow. Instead they'll offer a special lunch with all proceeds benefiting Communities in Schools, a non-profit dropout prevention agency. For $25, you get a three-course meal, including an appetizer choice of sweet corn and crawfish chowder or house salad, an entree choice of roast chicken saltimbocca, shrimp and grits or sirloin and a dessert choice of pecan pie or lemon chess pie. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 864-335-4200.

Junior Achievement of the Upstate is also hosting an Administrative Assistants' Day luncheon from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Zen. Tickets are $15 and include massages, manicures, live music, food from Sticky Fingers and door prizes. All proceeds benefit Junior Achievement; purchase tickets by calling 864-297-7200 or stopping into Sticky Fingers.

At least when your boss goes back to his or her same old demanding self on Thursday, you can take solace in knowing you got a good meal.
