Local spots offer deals on sugar fixes
Local spots offer deals on sugar fixes
Sugar addicts of the Upstate, take note: Today and tomorrow, you'll be able to indulge your addiction for the sweet stuff at local spots for cheap.
From 5-10 p.m. tonight, Baskin-Robbins will offer a 31-cent scoop night to honor the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which will get a $100,000 donation from the ice cream chain. Order up to three 2.5-oz. scoops of your favorites at either the Greenville location (3601 E. North St.) or Simpsonville location (One Ray E. Talley Ct.) while supplies last.
If next-to-free ice cream isn't enough to satisfy your craving, check out Mary Beth's Thursday, April 29. The restaurant is celebrating its second anniversary by giving out free cake with meals.
And if anybody has the gall to ask you why you're eating so much sugar, tell them to a) mind their own business and b) that you're a huge soybean fan and you're celebrating the end of National Soyfoods Awareness Month. That'll shut 'em up.
