Pronounced Oddy’s and named after the Holland-born owner, this downtown restaurant is part beer snob mecca, part Dutch café and part bar for those who want all the other ware a respectable bar offers, but it’s hard to pinpoint the best reason to go there. For those without a penchant for goulash, Addy’s is known for their high gravity Belgian beer list, but is also a popular spot to spend a few hours after dinner. The beer list, however, upstages what would otherwise be the best place to get a strangely comforting array of exotic food full of cheese, cream, fried things and entrees ending in “schnitzel.”
